Do you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders?
Are you always doing things for:
- Family
- Friends
- Coworkers
- Community organizations
Do you feel like there is no time left over to do things for yourself?
I perfectly understand how you are feeling. Marie Diamond refers to people in this situation as the “Orange Code” people. Orange code people have a big heart, are very civic minded, are always doing things for others, but put themselves at the bottom of the list and often leave themselves out altogether.
“It’s not selfish to love yourself, take care of yourself, and to make your HAPPINESS a priority. It’s necessary.” ~ Mandy Hale
When you do things for yourself, you are better able to then help others. You feel energized, refreshed, revitalized, and are then ready to handle all the demands on your time, necessary tasks, and items on your “to-do list”. It is like the information given during preflight instructions on an airplane. They tell you to put the oxygen mask on yourself first during an emergency and then you will be able to help your children, family members, or others seated near you.
Do you feel like you can’t be your real self because of the demands from society, the attitudes of you family, friends, and coworkers? Do people not get who you really are?
I’m here for you!
Here at OH! BABY Life Coaching, I help women get back to who they really are and embrace their unique authentic self by intuitively connecting with their heart and soul essence. I help you take time for yourself and be the person you were meant to be by doing things just for you and then be better able to help others.
Maybe you’re not sure what types of things you could do for yourself. I created a “Daily Me-Time Checklist” which lists things you can do for yourself every day. Sign up for this free checklist using the “Free Gift” box and begin nurturing yourself.
